"Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast, to soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak."

William Congreve

If "Eyjafjallajökull" were a genre of music, what would it sound like?

And if we broadcast it all over the interwebs, would it appease the volcano gods?

Free Music Now! Vol. 4
Original broadcast: November 25, 2009 (Wed), 2230-0000h (GMT +8)

Presented by Mark Wong

Broadcast "live" from a cluttered bedroom on Balestier Road, Singapore, FMN! is an internet radio programme hosted on unpopular.radio. We pay special focus to music developments in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

"Free music" refers as much to the ideas of information flow and cultural dissemination as it does to musical forms which refuse to be shackled to genre orthodoxy. Inevitably, "Free Music NOW!" becomes clarion call for open ears and unfettered minds.

In Vol. 4 this week:

* Meddle (SGP): Members of the Observatory in a secret side project!
* Double Infant (SGP): Dialectical movements between Bataille's prick & Nietzsche's ass!
* Klangmutationen (MYS): Uncompromising Klang Valley out-jazz!
* Elemento (PHL): Sonic brutalism!
* Ronez (CHN): Guilin's noise warrior!

And more!
